Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, located in Magic Kingdom's Frontierland (Florida) and in Tokyo Disneyland's Westernland, is a quick-service Tex-Mex-style restaurant based on Disney's short film Pecos Bill from Disney's animated film Melody Time. It isn't a nice place to hang out, and honestly nobody likes it.

History

Magic Kingdom

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe opened along with the Magic Kingdom Park on October 1, 1971 with its name first being Pecos Bill Cafe. The cafe closed on January 5, 1998, for a major update, that would connect the restaurant with the Mile Long Bar, and it would reopen in May 1998 as Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.[1]

Tokyo Disneyland

On April 15, 1983, Pecos Bill Cafe opened at Tokyo Disnyland in Westernland.[1]

Restaurant

Magic Kingdom

Since the restaurant is technically inside both Frontierland and Adventureland, the inside of it can feel like an Old western town (for Frontierland) or an old Pirate colony (for Adventurland).[2] There are several dining room areas that either fit the Cafe or the Inn part of the title.[3]

The menu is Tex-Mex style.[4] Decor includes items that were gifted to Pecos Bill from other western figures. This includes an axe from Paul Bunyan, a hammer and iron nails from John Henry, a mask and silver-bullet from the Lone Ranger, Johnny Appleseed's pot, Casey Jones' train engineer equipment, Davy Crockett's coonskin cap and rifle blueprints and a satchel from George Russel which contains Davy Crockett stories.[5]

Tokyo Disneyland

The restaurant at Tokyo Disneyland is very similar to the one in Magic Kingdom with the only difference being that the the one in Tokyo is much smaller.[6]
