The lovefest is a day long live festival showcasing local musicians held in Swinford Co. Mayo. The festival was set up by local youths in 2003 and has developed into one of the years foremost rock festivals west of the Shannon. The festival is run by volunteers,is free of charge and is generously funded by swinford business people. It is estimated that a crowd of over 1500 attended the festival in 2006.
