My Own Swordsman (Chinese: 武林外传) is Chinese wuxia-themed comedy franchise, including a 80-episode series first aired in 2006 and a action comedy film released in 2011, both directed by Shang Jing.[2]
Setting in the Ming dynasty, the franchise satirises common wuxia tropes while allegorising contemporary social issues.
