Sarah Levy (born September 10, 1986) is a Canadian actress best known for her role in Schitt's Creek as Twyla Sands.[1] She is the daughter of actor Eugene Levy and Deborah Divine, and the younger sister of actor Dan Levy.
Early life
Levy is the daughter of actor Eugene Levy and Deborah Divine, and the sister of actor Dan Levy.[2] Sarah graduated from Branksome Hall[1] and studied theatre at Dalhousie University.[1] Her father is Jewish and her mother is Protestant.[3][4]
Career
One of Levy's earliest film roles was in Larry Crowne.[1] She also played a minor part in Adam Shankman's Cheaper by the Dozen 2, in which her father appeared.[5] Her most notable role was Twyla Sands on Schitt's Creek,[6] in which she co-starred with her father and brother.[7] She played a waitress at the town's Café Tropical.[8] According to Dan, working together with Sarah and their father brought the family closer.[7] In 2020, Variety announced Levy was joining the cast of the Chris Blake quarantine comedy, Distancing Socially. The film was shot at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, using remote technologies and the iPhone 11. The film was acquired and released by Cinedigm in October of 2021. [9]
Sarah and her father portray themselves in the current Capital One Auto advertising campaign for its automobile shopping app. [10]
