A disease affecting the internal organs has broken out in the fleet. Dozens of Sagitarrons have been treated to the Galactica for treatment. Captain Agathon is tranfered to assist in treatment under a civilian, Dr. Roberts (played by Bruce Davison). In the course of this duty, a Sagitarron woman named Mrs. King brings irregularities in Dr. Roberts work to the attention of Agathon, namely that her son died despite receiving treatment in time. Dr. Robert's contradicts the woman. Eventually two more Sagitarrons die in ways that arouse Agathon's suspicions. Agathon checks records going back to New Caprica, showing that 90% of the Sagitarrons died under Roberts care. When he confronts Dr. Cottle with this Cottle brushes him off. Agathon insists Cottle check the blood work of the suspected victim and Cottle claims to have already done so, finding traces of the necessary medicine, but nothing else. Agathon leaves feeling defeated. In the middle of the night Mrs. King calls on Agathon to warn him that Dualla, a Sagitarron, has been admitted to Roberts care. Agathon rushes to her aid. When he tries to take her to Cottle, Roberts confronts him and calls security to stop him. Agathon's arrests is halted when Cottle, Tigh, and Adama arrive. Cottle reveals he had not done the blood test due to overwork. After actually testing the victims he reveals that their blood contained no medicine, but a deadly toxin instead.
