Recent activities

Throughout the last week of June 2006, Stride's website offered free samples of gum and there were an estimated 120,000 people who requested for the sample. Unfortunately, Stride's samples limit ran out and had to offer the remaining people who sent requests a "Buy One, Get One" coupon.

Stride gum's website were holding "What Would You Do for a Ridiculously Long Time?" contest in the summer of 2006. The contestants come up with an idea on what would they do for a long time while chewing Stride gum, seeming that the flavor lasts too long. The grand prize was $5000.

Stride has launched a promotion called "Where the Hell is Matt?" which Stride sponsored Matt Harding to travel the world and video himself dancing in various locations.

Stride, along with GameSpot, is hosting the Ridiculously Long Lasting Tournament for Counter-Strike: Source. [1]

A secret of Stride gum is that you can eat the wrapper with the gum in it. The wrapper eventually dissolves and makes the gum a much darker color. This applies to all flavors of Stride gum, but the blue has the most noticeable effect. It is not known if this was done by accident or a secret made to be discovered by the consumer.
