Field Music is a band from Sunderland, England. The band consists of core member Andrew Moore, accompanied by brothers Peter and David Brewis, who have been known to bitch and argue on stage and take over each others segments and instruments whilst Andrew Moore looks on. Their sound has been described as inspired by so-called "brainy-pop" bands such as XTC. Pitchfork has grouped the band with the likes of the Futureheads and Maximo Park.

Field Music released their self-titled debut album in August 2005. A collection of B-sides and earlier songs, Write Your Own History, was released in May 2006. Their second album, Tones of Town, was released on January 22 2007. The album attracted some glowing reviews, and has a metacritic ranking of 84.
