Jonathan Koch is the president and chief creative officer of Asylum Entertainment, a Los Angeles-b

ased television production company that he founded with partner Steve Michaels and produced the 2011 miniseries The Kennedys. [1]

In 2004, Koch co-authored with Robert Kosberg Pitching Hollywood: How to Sell Your TV Show and Movie Ideas, a film and television pitching manual.[9]

Hand Transplant

In 2015, Jonathan became gravely ill and was hospitalized. [10] On January 26, 2015 at the Realscreen Summit in Washington, D.C., Jonathan went to the George Washington University Hospital with a 102 degree temperature and 2 days later, was put into a propofol-induced coma. The following day, Jonathan was in full-blow septic shock and his hands and feet were turning blue. During his 39 days at GW, Jonathan's hands and feet had become necrotic and would eventually have to be amputated. In April 2015. Jonathan returned to Los Angeles and met UCLA's Dr. Kodi Azari, who was heading up hand transplant trials. In October 2016, Jonathan received a call that a donor was available and after undergoing a 17 hours 36 minute hand transplant surgery, Jonathan had a new hand.[11]
