Bioprocess Engineering is a specialization of Biological Systems Engineering. It is an option with a curriculum tailored for students interested in the design and development of equipment and processes for environmentally responsible manufacturing of value-added products such as food, feed, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, chemicals, polymers, and other biological products from renewable biological materials.
