L. A. Snaer was a storekeeper, public official, and state legislator in Louisiana. He was a school board director.[1] He was a storekeeper at the New Orleams custom house.[2]

He was elected to tbe Lousiana House of Representatives.[3] In 1866 he testified he saw police firing into the Mechanics Institute and at African Americans trying to escape and found them in his store where goods were missing.[4]
