Caroline Doggart
Caroline Doggart, M.A., MSc, is an author, educator and development economist.
Educated at Girton College Cambridge and Imperial College London, she began her career at the Economist Intelligence Unit. In 1970, she wrote Tax Havens and their Uses.[1] The publication went on to become the Economist's bestselling publication, with 11 editions until 2005, translated into 21 languages.[2] [3] The Spectator magazine described the work as "magisterial".[4] [5]
Doggart has worked as a consultant for the World Bank in Malawi, Tanzania, Ghana, Ecuador, Haiti and Paraguay. [6]
She is a board member of the Maria Montessori Institute,[7] a founder of the ICEA (Independent Consulting Economists' Assocation),[8] and an advisory director of Pestalozzi US Charities,[9].
She has contributed to The Financial Times, The Independent and The Economist.
