Toboe (Wolf's Rain)

Toboe is the name of a character in the Anime series Wolf's Rain. In the series, Toboe is presented both as a wolf and a human, owing to the peculiar nature of wolves in Wolf's Rain.

Toboe is 2 years old as a wolf and 14 years old as a human, making him the youngest of the group. He has a cheerful demeanor, being more childish and innocent than the rest of his pack, and is easily hurt both emotionally and physically. Toboe is especially attached to Tsume, however, as fighting inside his pack continues, Toboe is seen to serve a vital role in the integrity of the entire pack, to hold a special place in each of his friend's hearts. Still, Toboe is closest to Tsume and usually follows him when the pack splits up.

Unlike some of the others, Toboe was raised as a pet, and still wears the bracelets his owner gave him. He has an affection for humans that none of the other wolves can understand - except for Blue, and that quality, along with the symbol of his bracelets, highlights Toboe's childish nature.

Toboe seems to have better hearing than the rest of his pack. Toboe appears to be a red wolf or an Arabian Wolf in the series, due to his more pointed ears, and tail, and longer legs.
