Metals and Materials

In RuneScape, weapon value and power is based on the metal or material that it is made from. In order to make a metal weapon, a player would smith a bar of the metal that the desired weapon would be made of.

Free Player Metals

These are the free player metals, in the order that they are strongest (according to the Attack Combat Guide):

1. Bronze (Attack level one)

2. Iron (Attack level one)

3. Steel (Attack level five)

4. Black (Attack level ten)

5. Mithril (Attack level twenty)

6. Adamant (Attack level thirty)

7. Rune (Attack level forty)

Weapon Forms

Weapons come not only in metals, but there is differing kind of weapon, such as daggers, longswords, battleaxes, and more. The weapons are classified according to their speed.
