For You Blue
Appearance
"For You Blue" was written by George Harrison for his wife Patti Boyd Harrison, who would be the subject of many of his love songs. Including: "Something" & "Its All To Much".
The song featues John on the slide guitar as indicated by George saying "Go Johnnie Go" in the middle of the song. One can also hear mention of Elmore James, whose song "Madison Blues" sounds very similar to "For You Blue".
"For You Blue" was the B-Side to "The Long and Winding Road".
Paul McCartney would play this during the Royal Albert Hall tribute concert to George following his death in 2001.
