The Forever Story is the upcoming third studio album by American rapper JID. It is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2022.

Background

JID released his debut studio album, The Never Story, in 2017; his last solo project, DiCaprio 2, was released in 2018. He has been teasing the long-awaited third studio album since 2019 through use of social media, but promotion did not begin until January 2022, when the lead single, "Surround Sound", was released. The release date of the album was delayed multiple times, and JID promised his fans that when the album finally releases, they will never have to wait "this long" for new music again.[1]
