Stockton serial shootings

The Stockton serial killings are a currently active series of murders which have so far occurred between March 2021 and September 2022 in Oakland, California with one victim and in Stockton, California with five victims who were all shot to death.[1][2]

Crimes

Juan Vasquez Serrano

At 4:18 a.m. on April 10, 2021, Oakland Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and discovered the body of 39-year-old Juan Vasquez Serrano who was shot multiple times and died at the scene.[3]

Unidentified Woman (survived)

At 3:20 a.m. April 16, 2021, in Stockton, An unidentified 46-year-old woman was shot but survived her injuries.[4][5]

Paul Yaw

At 12:31 a.m. on July 8, 2022, in Stockton, officers who responded to a call found 35-year-old Paul Yaw laying on the ground with gunshot wounds however still alive although he died from his injuries after being taken to the hospital.[6]

Salvador Debudey

At 9:49 p.m. on August 11, 2022, in Stockton, officers were called in after receiving reports about a shooting. When the officers arrived they found 43-year-old Salvador Debudey suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a Popeyes, Debudy then died of his injuries on the scene.[7]

Jonathan Hernandez Rodriguez

At 6:41 a.m. on August 30, 2022, in Stockton, police officers responded to the parking lot of an apartment complex for reports of a shooting. When the officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Jonathan Hernandez Rodriguez who was shot and killed inside of a car.[8]

Juan Cruz

At 4:27 a.m. on September 21, 2022, in Stockton, 911 callers reported shots fired, When the police responded to the scene, they found 52-year-old Juan Cruz who was shot on the sidewalk in between a car and the fence of an apartment complex. He was pronounced dead at the scene.[9]

Juan Vasquez Serrano

At 1:51 a.m. on September 27, 2022, in Stockton, 911 callers reported a shooting, When the police arrived, they found 54-year-old Lawrence Lopez Sr. on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.[10]
