Some ideas after reading your wiki page[edit]

  1. Some words like "uplift", "cleavage", "fold" can add linkage to current wiki page (for example in the third paragraph of your wiki page and the section "Structural Geology"
  2. For the topographic map, can you add a legend or number to the contour lines (i.e. 100, 200, 300...).
  3. Is it possible to have a cross-section (one or two is ok) to show more about the topography/ morphology? For example, using "GeoMapApp".
  4. I think the part about different formations is very detailed. Quite good and informative. Is it possible to add some photos to some formations? Sometimes, it will be better to see both rock samples and word descriptions.

I hope my suggestions are useful to you. Gabriel HY Lam (talk) 09:39, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comments from Graeme[edit]

I will stick to higher level remarks: There should be some general writing about the Ellsworth Mountains describing them and where they are. How they are accessed. and how they were explored by USGS. Is there any investigation of what is under the ice cap, or only exposed rock? Are there any geophysical surveys? For references it is good to use doi's as it provides a link to the article and enables automatically fixing it up. Since this is for the general public, age in years (mya or Ma) would be good to see especially in the Stratigraphic Geological History and timeline diagram. Comments from Victor[edit]

Hi! I am Victor. Here are some suggestions for you.

First, for the reference thing, I saw that some parts have citations but some parts don't, e.g. Introduction, Heritage Group, Frazier Ridge Formation (FRF), The Uppermost Cambrian to Devonian Crashsite Group, etc. I think you should add the citations back so that the audience can better follow your content and there will be no plagiarism issues.

Second, for the structural geology part, adding some simple illustrations will be better for explanation. Otherwise, it is difficult for audience to imagine.

Third, for the language parts, I prefer short sentences and paragraphs more than long paragraphs. Also, you can use bold words to emphasize some specific terms or key ideas in the paragraphs.

Thank you. VictorSo1031 (talk) 13:27, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comments from Mohammad[edit]

In my opinion, this page has been written well, and crucial information has been covered.

Just minor comments: Some sentences do not have a reference. For example, I did not see any reference for the "Type of contacts" section.

I think a hill shade topographic map with a color scale would be a better map to illustrate elevation.
