WL actually also indicates "Water Line" in Aerospace, since the field stole a lot of terminology from shipbuilding. For example, WL 200.00 would be 200 inches above the Z-datum. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.86.140.226 (talk) 20:42, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
