Welcome!

Hello, Zorgon X, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

By the way, I take it you wanted to create a redirect from CiffiO to Ciffio, right? The way you do it is to type #Redirect [[Name of the page you want to redirect to]] at the top of the page you want to turn into a redirect. (I did this already in this case, so I hope it is what you were intending to do). Also, you should use the move button at the top of the page next to the history to change an article's name, since cut and paste moves cause problems. (The move button appears 4 days after you register your account). Let me know by leaving me a message on my talk page if you haven any questons or need anything! Peace, delldot | talk 23:51, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to momentarily delete CiffiO (and then undelete it right away) in order to merge the page history from Ciffio into it. Please don't edit the article until I'm done doing this, OK? I'll let you know, it shouldn't take long. Peace, delldot | talk 00:23, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, done, thanks for waiting. However, I do have one more thing (I know, I'm being a terrible nag, sorry!): I think you should not be editing this article directly due to our conflict of interest guideline, but rather proposing changes on the talk page for others to make. Wikipedia has a very strict neutral point of view policy; all articles must be written in a factual manner with a neutral tone. Being involved in the subject of an article makes it extremely difficult to be neutral. In fact, I think the article CiffiO does indeed have some neutrality problems. You can propose changes on the talk page and let me know by leaving me a message on my talk page if you want me to look at them and make a decision about them quiclky. Leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions or want to discuss anything. Peace, delldot | talk 00:52, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, right.. forgot about that. I've been tired all day, due to lack of adequate sleeping. I'll remember not to edit the article when my brain isn't functioning well enough to distinguish neutral from.. not-so-neutral. And, I guess getting others to contribute would also be a good idea.

Oh, yes.. and thank you for all of your help.

Move

I went ahead and moved CiffiO to User:Zorgon X/CiffiO. I deleted the resulting redirects at CiffiO and Ciffio since we're not supposed to have redirects from the main article space into userspaces (see WP:SELF and WP:NS for an explanation of why). We can recreate these when moving back into the mainspace. Since it's in your user space now, there's no longer a WP:COI problem with you editing the article. Thanks for being so awesome about all of this, I felt bad for all the hassle. No, I don't think you should have learned more about WP before editing, I think it's best for folks to jump right in; the policies are vast, after all, and if we had to be all careful about it nothing would ever get done. Besides, most everything can be reversed. Furthermore, you learned way more than most folks do before writing something, trust me!

By the way, I didn't want to presume to edit your user page, but you might want to retarget the link on it from CiffiO to User:Zorgon X/CiffiO. Also, since it's usually assumed that no one but you edits your user pages, you might want to put a note at the top of the article and/or on your user page inviting others to edit it if you want them to. (I made an exception and edited it to prevent the article from showing up in a category, because WP isn't supposed to be self-referential). Anyway, pleasure meeting you, keep in touch, let me know if you need anything. Peace, delldot talk 22:48, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
