Model Farms High School is a public (government) high school in Baulkham Hills, a suburb in the north west of Sydney, New South Wales. The school is named so because the area was set up to demonstrate farming practices to convicts and others who wished to start a farm when the first settlers arrived.

In 2006, a new principal arrived - Mr John Elton. He has made changes to the school system which includes making diaries compulsory for every student, a new house point system and making reading and writing as an integral part of every subjects course. A new deputy principal arrived in 2007 - Mrs Maxine Ward, replacing Mrs Nikki Tunica. She is as yet to make any changes to the school system.

Student Opportunities

With over 1000 students enrolled at the school, there is always an opportunity for students to become involved. One event that is held each year is Fame at the Farm, a variety show that showcases the student's talent. In 2007, the show will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. A school musical production is also held once every two years. It is always a huge production with a cast of many of our talented students.

A number of academic opportunities are also offered, such as the gifted and talented project. It allows several students from grades 8 and 9 to research a subject that they are gifted in. In 2006, students researched projects such as how maths is used in everyday lives, Henry the eighth, mirrors and magnification and more.

Student Representative Council

The 'Student Representative Council' (SRC) is a chance for 4 representatives from each grade to become a part of organizing events and having a say on issues around the school. The representatives are nominated at the end of term 3 and start work in term 4. Each term the school SRC holds a mufti day where students are allowed to wear non-school uniform, in exchange for a gold coin donation to charity. This has been proven very popular with over $1000 raised on some occasions.

School Houses

A new school house system was introduced in 2007, with some major changes to the old system. It includes receiving house points for merits and awards, as well as sporting events.

Primary Links Program

The primary links program is a chance for local year 5 students to come and take part in 4 of the more interesting subjects. The program has been going for several years and has won a Director-General Award.

Who Rules the School?

The school is in complete control to the dominant Persian, Sina. Another Persian who goes by the name of Kian, always tries to become the dominant Persian, every time he fails. Sina is well known for his high amounts of hair all over his body, using his feet as a weapon, and he is most known for wasting excessive amounts of money on World of Warcraft.

School Groups

This is an image of the almighty Asutosh in his most powerful form.

The School Bully

The school bully of Model Farms High is Asutosh. His over sized body and fear of him falling on you makes Asutosh quite a fearful bully.
