Why would you want to cool it? Wouldn't this just effectively turn it into a reflux setup?

Yes, pretty much. This article should probably be merged with the Vigreux column article. The correction should be made that 'jacketed vigreux condenser' usually refers to one that's vacuum jacketed, not with a coolant jacket (at least on every one I've seen). -- Bfesser 20:36, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
