Pentila petreia, the common red pentila, is a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It is found in Sierra Leone, central Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin and western Nigeria.[2] The habitat consists of dense forests.

Adults feed from extrafloral nectaries.
