Removing Myspace Link

A link from Gregory Helms Official Myspace is not there and not in Ashleys Official Myspace, until credible evidence can prove it's actually hers, it should be removed

Same with the Bebo account and all the random information that's suddenly appeared out of nowhere, with no credited sources. I've removed it for the time being so hopefully people will get the hint and leave it alone, until proved otherwise. Flamboyantflairxxx 09:31, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Different Picture

Whoever is saying that she is 5'7" better stop. They obviousely know nothing about her. She said in her blog that WWE got the facts wrong. She is 5'11

Site links

Why are people removing the link to Eloquent Angel (maria-kanellis.org)? It's just as good as the other site listed, MKO.com, has just as many good/rare images (even more, sometimes), and provides the same, if not better and more informative, information? I don't get it. Smoker

Does Maria smoke? It said "Yes" on her myspace, but it does also on JBL's, and I assumed he smoked like people in my family, which is only on very rare occasions...

This isn't about ASHLEY. This is about Maria. We all know Ashley's is real. We all know Gregory Helms' is real. But as for Maria? She hasn't said anything about having one, she hasn't been confirmed to have one - therefore anyone who links a Myspace/Bebo/etc will have it removed. 124.177.120.39

Hey, what does this discussion about whether Maria does or does not smoke cigarettes have to do with the article, anyway? Does it really make a difference anyway? Unless a celebrity (e.g., Franklin Roosevelt) or athlete is/was a well-known smoker, I don't think it really merits a mention in an article about a living person. I believe this discussion stemmed from the fact that someone said Maria was a smoker and they'd gotten the information from her Myspace. My argument was that Maria does not have a Myspace, and therefore, there is no factual basis (aside from a year-old photo) behind the rumour to her being a smoker. :) 124.187.67.75 00:50, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

But that's beside the point. It seems like you and I agree, but I base my observation on the fact that the contributor should have read WP:BIO — Self-published sources as secondary sources, which I believe addresses this issue. That is, I believe that My Space (whether the subject's own or on another's account) is NOT a reliable source due to its anonymous nature. Again, it's one thing to include whether a wrestler is a smoker if it's part of an angle or if the subject of a biography was a well-known smoker, but if someone does this in their offtime and there are no reliable sources, then it should be deleted. Matter of fact, it should be removed anyway, even if there was a photograph in a magazine such as People; it's not really a notable or relevant part of her bio anyway. Besides, whether true or wholly false, the relevation that Maria Kanellis is/might smoke to me undoubtedly would ruin the kayfabe impression that she is this "innocent girl next door," especially among those fans who probably didn't want to know such a fact. Maria doesnt have a MySpace, heres a link, she confirms it in her Love Notes http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/maria/lovenotes/041007 this also clears up her height, b-day and stuff....

Random information

Can people stop adding information about her that is completely worthless and untrue (until proven otherwise), such as her favourite wrestlers being Lita and Trish and the fact that she has apparently quit smoking. YOU DON'T KNOW THAT, you don't know Maria Kanellis personally.

Also, I have every single one of her OVW segments and matches and I will assure you that she has never done a moonsault, so please don't add that either. Her bulldog finisher is not called a "Maria Dog" either and I have no idea how that came about :S 124.186.85.116 08:06, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Apropos random Information. I was wondering if it's worth mentioning, that Maria has got no breast implants because usually WWE Divas either have them, or are urged to get them (Lita is an example for that). Source is FHM.

Being Trained?

Has there been any information to suggest that Maria has been training to be an actual wrestler? She did suprisingly well in the Mixed Tag Team Match on Raw last Monday. I thought it was worth asking as if true it would be worth it to add it to the article as well as add her to the trained Divas list in the WWE Divas Article. Gavyn Sykes 16:45, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

She was being trained down in OVW, I remember her mentioning in an interview that she was. Not to mention, she had a couple of matches whilst down there. I'll try and find said interview. I know that Nattie Neidhart has a high level of respect for her (as has been mentioned in interviews by HER) and would like to work with her someday, because of the amount of effort/training she puts in. Birth year

I just noticed that while her birth year says 1981, the link in the reference, IMDb and OWW say 1980, yet Gerweck.net and her fansite say 1981. Anyone know which one is correct? I will try and find a more official source. --James Duggan 13:19, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Ok, think I found something. http://www.tbs.com/stories/story/0,,32203,00.html. Now, knowing that show was taped in 2004 before her birthday, and her age is listed as 22, that puts her birth year as 1981. So it looks like this article is accurate then. Maria's real name is Maria Frances Kanellis, so she uses her real name, but just not the middle name

Birth date

According to http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/maria/lovenotes/012507, she says her birthday is Feb 25, and she will be 25, making the year 1982, which is completely different than what we or anyone else has. --James Duggan 23:15, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

From what I know, Maria is from Ottowa, IL, not Chicago. Can anyone find a source for it, and change it?
