Sydney Arthur Orchard (b. 1 January, 1875 in Elmore and d. 19 April, 1947) in Christchurch. He played eight matches for the All Blacks in 1896 & 1897 and he was also a New Zealand cricketer. In 1909-10 Orchard took a hat-trick for the Canterbury Wizards against the Auckland Aces in Auckland. His great-grandson Mark Orchard plays for the Northern Districts Knights.
