Archenemy is a death metal band in the style of Scandinavian metal, with roots in the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Germany. Archenemy’s sound is distinct for its focus on twin-guitar harmonies and frequently almost classical-sounding riffs. The band’s lead guitarist, Michael Ammott, was previously in Carcass. Archenemy is also notable among death metal bands for having a female vocalist, Angela Gossow from Germany.
