The Brahmapuram waste plant, located near the edge of Kochi city, is known for the massive mounds of waste on its premises. The plant is owned and operated by Kochi city authorities.

On March 4 2023, Saturday a massive fire broke out at the Brahmapuram waste plant in Kochi. The smoke generated by the fire was also causing nausea and dizziness among the citizens of Kochi. Collector declared holiday for the near by schools [1][2] [3][4][5][6][7]
