Career

Imran was awarded the rank of Queen's Counsel in 2018.

As of March 2023, Imran is listed as a signatory to the Declaration of Conscience promoted by Lawyers are responsible. This declaration is in open contempt of the professional impartiality rule, known as the "Cab-rank rule", that underpins the right to a fair trial. Some signatories have reported themselves to the Bar Standards Board on this account. The Bar Standards Board is currently assessing this high profile, politically motivated threat to the foundations of the legal system.
