Prince Henry of the Netherlands (1820–1879)

William Frederick Henry (Hendrik) "the Navigator" (13 June, 182014 January, 1879), Prince of the Netherlands, Prince of Orange-Nassau.

He was the third son of King William II of the Netherlands and Grand Duchess Anna Pavlovna of Russia. His maternal grandparents were Paul I of Russia and Sophie Marie Dorothea of Württemberg.

Prince Hendrik became Governor of Luxembourg in 1850, in which capacity he served until his death in 1879. On May 9 1853 he married Amalia Maria da Gloria Augusta of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (1830 – 1872).

He is not to be confused with the Portuguese Prince Henry the Navigator. Template:Dutch-noble-stub
