Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Joy Handler (born February 25, 1975) is an American Actress. She has her own program, The Chelsea Handler Show, on the E! Television Network.

Biography

Early life

Handler was born in Livingston, New Jersey and has five siblings. She grew up in a Jewish neighborhood and was raised as a Reform Jew by her Mormon mother and Jewish father. Handler started her career by heckling stand-up comedians in the mid-to-late-'90s.

Career

Handler is a regular on the Oxygen Network series Girls Behaving Badly. She has appeared on many shows, including Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show and The Practice. She is a regular commentator on E! as well as a correspondent on The Tonight Show. As a stand-up comedian, she has made multiple appearances across America.

She recently released My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands, her memoirs. The foreign rights have sold in over 16 countries.

On February 3 2007, it was announced that Handler will be co-host along with pop singer Justin Timberlake on the 2007 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. It's scheduled to air on Saturday March 31 2007.

In 2007, Handler is performing with the Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour across the U.S..
