Afghan of Afgan may refer to:

  • Afghans, people or citizens of Afghanistan, a country in Southern-Central Asia (of any ethnicity. It was partly adapted for the first time under Art. 8 of 1923 Afghanistan Consitution– All persons residing in the kingdom of Afghanistan, without respect to religious or sectarian differences, are considered to be subjects of Afghanistan. Afghan citizenship may be obtained or lost in accordance with the provisions of the appropriate law. Subsequently, it was endorsed and expanded by Article 1 of the 1964 Consitution which forces all ethnic groups residing in Afghanistan to call themselves as Afghan "Article 1 Afghanistan is a Constitutional Monarchy; an independent, unitary and indivisible state. Sovereignty in Afghanistan belongs to the nation. The Afghan nation is composed of all those individuals who possess the citizenship of the State of Afghanistan in accordance with the provisions of the law".

The word Afghan shall apply to each such individual.)
