Gary Rosen

Gary Rosen is a television writer/producer, screenwriter and director.

Among his feature credits are the Universal movie "Major Payne" and the indie film "Hacks" (re-titled Sink or Swim), which he also directed.

In television, he has written for many one-hour shows, but is best known for co-creating the one hour action-drama, "Almost Paradise" with Dean Devlin, which films entirely on location in the Philippines.

Rosen was born in Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA with a major in history. His brother, William Rosen, was an author and publisher, most notably of the book "Justinian's Flea".

His wife, Holly Goldberg Sloan is a novelist and the screenwriter of Disney Family films.

Rosen has two stepsons, Max and Calvin Sloan, who both reside with their families in Los Angeles.
