Laubuka varuna is a cyprinid fish species in the family Cyprinidae.[1][2][3] It is endemic to Sri Lanka.[1][3]
Etymology
[edit]The specific name varuna is from Sinhala language meaning "western of the island" of Sri Lanka, confirming that the presence of this freshwater fish to western parts of the country.[3]
Description
[edit]It can grow to 5.5 cm (2.2 in) standard length.[3]
