Jacqueline Felgate is an Australian journalist and news presenter.

Jacqueline is currently the afternoon news presenter on Seven News in Melbourne.

Career

Jacqueline attended Trinity Grammar School and completed her Bachelor of Arts at University of Melbourne. In 2005 she began a cadetship working for the Herald Sun as a journalist. She began freelancing reporting for Nine News Melbourne in 2007. She joined Seven News Melbourne in 2012, where she worked as a senior reporter and fill in presenter on news updates throughout the day. Jacqueline presented her first live bulletin for Seven News Melbourne on Christmas Day 2014. She was promoted to the stations local afternoon news pres news presenter in August 2015. Since then she has filled in as presenting Seven's National Morning News and Melbourne Weekend News bulletin.


It wasn’t until February 2012 that she received her first permanent on-air role, as a member of the Melbourne Seven News Team. As of 2017, she is still with Channel 7, and works as their afternoon news presenter during weekdays. She is also responsible for the 6PM news reading.


Personal life

Jacqueline is married to Seven News sports presenter Michael Felgate. They have two daughters and live in Melbourne.
