The continuance of abuse (and possibly violent or personal threats sometimes) almost certainly will drive an editor mad.

The editor is the only person or most of the time who keeps the abuser at bay and reverts the edits. Who feels that they have the responsibility to revert these edits. These editors will feel that they have to handle the lta all by themselves or is the only person who knows how to handle these edits
