Patrick Christys (born 15 January 1992) is an English journalist and presenter. He currently hosts Patrick Christys Tonight on GB News[1].
Early life
Christys was born in Cheshire, England[2].
Career
Christys started his career in 2014, as a reporter for The Westmorland Gazette in Kendal, Cumbria[3].
In 2016, he moved to London, and between then and 2019, worked as a reporter and Overnight Editor at MailOnline and Express.co.uk[4].
In 2019, Christys moved to radio, joining Kelvin MacKenzie's short-lived[5] Love Sport Radio station as Head of Content and Breakfast Show Presenter[4].
During this time, he was also a political commentator on talkRADIO, and in 2020, started presenting on the station. In July 2021, he became the drive time host[6].
In August 2021, Christys joined GB News, initially presenting To The Point alongside Mercy Muroki[7]. Since then, he has presented other programming on the channel, including GB News Live, Friday Night Feast, and the self-titled Patrick Christys show.
In November 2023, in light of the suspension of weekday primetime presenter Dan Wootton[8], it was announced that Christys would be presenting Wootton's weekday 9pm Tonight programme on GB News until further notice[9][10].
During his time at GB News, Christys has raised significant amounts of money through charity fundraisers launched on the channel. In June 2023, he performed with The Dreamboys[11] to raise awareness of men's mental health, generating over £110,000 in donations for mental health charity Mind[12]. In November 2023, he launched an appeal to support Royal British Legion, raising over £230,000 for the charity[13][14].
Christys has also appeared as a political commentator and contributor on BBC Politics Live[15] and Sky News[16].
