Pixmap was opened on August 23, 2023 by a group whose real identities are unknown. Following the R/Place Event initiated by Reddit, similar initiatives and events began to be made and created by various groups. There are 7 Canvases available: Earth, Moon, 3D Canvas, Awareness for Corona, 1 Bit, Top 10, Thoia, just like the recreation of the World Map with Pixel squares. As of December 1, 2023, there are 1220 Registered members on the community server on the Internet.
