Pedro Rosso Leal (Spotorno, Italy; August 27, 1941) is a Chilean pediatrician and academic. He was rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile between 2000 and 2010 and professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the same university. In 2012 he was named Professor Emeritus.1

Since 2009 he has been president of the Organization of Catholic Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean.2 In 2012 he was appointed by the president of the Republic of Chile, with the approval of the Senate Education Commission, as a member of the National Education Council. 3

In 2017 he received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Catholic University.4
