Norma Anderson was a state legislator Colorado. A Republican, she represented Jefferson County, Colorado in the Colorado House of Representatives from 1987-1998.[1] She served in the Colorado Senate from 1999-2006.[2] She was the first woman to serve as majority leader in the Colorado House and Colorado Senate. A pre-school was named for her and she is a member of the Jefferson County Historical Commission Hall of Fame.[3]

She has lived in Lakewood, Colorado and has three children. She resigned her senate seat in 2006 to spend more time with her family.[4]

An interview with her was recorded in 2011.[5]

Anderson is the lead plaintiff on a court case (Anderson v. Griswold) seeking to prohibit former President Trump from the Colorado ballot based on the insurrection clause of the 14th amendment to the U.S. Constitution.[6]
