Weaponization of antisemitism
Appearance
The Weaponization of antisemitism, also described as the politicization of antisemitism,[1] is the bad faith use of the charge of antisemitism against a person for political purposes, notably with respect to criticism of Israel.[2]
Suggestions of such actions have been notable in the adoption of the controversial Working definition of antisemitism by various organizations,[3] 2014-20 allegations of Antisemitism in the UK Labour Party ,[4] the 2023 United States Congress hearing on antisemitism.[5]
It is considered to be a type of cancel culture.[6]
It has been claimed that Anti-Palestinianism is a foundation of such actions.[7]
