This company has a place in history and I feel Wikipedia should have some obligation to not erase content that has been online for 20+ years given that the references are slowly going away. I've done my best to find new citations and ensure the content is created from these. Nilslahr (talk) 17:47, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Wikishovel. I have added a disclosure section to my talk page to help with your concerns. As you can see I've also taken extensive time to find more references as it is harder given the age of information. I am doing my best to adhere to Wikipedia's guidelines and open to input on how to do better. Nilslahr (talk) 17:47, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, I can see you've raised some concerns at Ritchie333's Talk page a couple of days ago about this organization. I !voted to merge and I provided reasons at the AfD page. You've flagged your concerns that, given the age of the company, references are difficult to find. That is the main reason why this topic failed to meet GNG/WP:NCORP guidelines, we require references which do not rely *solely* on information provided by the company or their execs or people connected with the company. We require a neutral third party to have published in-depth information about the company. FYI, references do not need to be available online - if you can locate references that are in hardcopy and you have an ISBN or other references, we can check those out. Perhaps some technology analysts (e.g. Gartner, Forrester, etc) covered the company? Hope that helps. HighKing++ 11:23, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

VXtreme Page Discussion

[edit]

@Liz: Information from the 90s is becoming scarce online, making sourcing older but historically significant information challenging. I've added more references to bolster the article's credibility. Nilslahr (talk) 16:30, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz: Let me know your thoughts and what we can do to remove the VXtreme content out of draft mode. Nilslahr (talk) 17:48, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz: Please provide any feedback and specifics if needed, otherwise can you please move the page out of draft mode?
