Eric Young is an award-wining sports journalist and television presenter for Prime TV in New Zealand. He has been both the New Zealand Sports Writer of the Year and the New Zealand Sports Broadcaster of the Year. He currently presents the Prime News at 5.30 show, which he has been doing since March 2006, and more recently the Sky NZ Evening News at 7.00, 8.30 and 9.00 on the Sky News NZ Channel. Young also is the editor for the new Sky Sport Magazine which was launched in January 2007.

Eric’s career began in 1982 as a sports newsreader for Radio I. Following this, Young spent six years at the Auckland Star as chief cricket and rugby league writer. Young has also worked as a sports commentator and presenter for pay television stations, Optus Vision and ESPN STAR.
