Primary sources

Special:Diff/1200195993/1200197038 - per WP:PRIMARY we can link to some primary sources in articles. Rule #1 says "Primary sources that have been reputably published may be used in Wikipedia". The University of California is "reputably published". The source is being used to make a straightforward statement of fact, not an analysis. Only if there is an "analytic, evaluative, interpretive, or synthetic claim" is a secondary required. Many articles including featured articles contain links to sources written by the subject of the bio. -- GreenC 01:40, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
