Ain't anythin' new under the sun

[edit]

I think immunization has been around for a long time, certainly the seeds go back at least as far as Macauley. Therefore I'm taking out the uninformative Prudential Assurance story. If anybody knows the details of this story and can source them, please add them back.

Arbitrage?

[edit]

"If the immunization is complete, these strategies are usually called arbitrage." - I don't get what complete immunization has to do with arbitrage (IMO, nothing). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.223.178.180 (talk) 08:37, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I didn't like that part either. It reads something like, If the immunization is incomplete, it is hedging. If the immunization is complete, it is called arbitrage. There isn't clarification later in the article. Also, the only similarity between complete immunization and arbitrage that I can see is that both have connotations of safety and elimination of certain risks. I'll try to see if there is more to it than that.--FeralOink (talk) 00:31, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding citations to reliable sources

[edit]

Greetings Wikipedians! Today I took the first step towards beefing up the inline citations. As you can see, at present we're leaning heavily on a single source which I am confident is reliable. There's much more to be done, but this is a start. Cordially, BuzzWeiser196 (talk) BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 18:35, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've added more citations to other sources. BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 16:10, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
My work here is done. BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 20:38, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
