Name origin

This article is rather misleading, as it suggests the name "skirt guard" is to protect skirts from the wheels. In fact the name comes from the part itself, which is a form of "skirting" over the wheel. 46.233.112.19 (talk) 10:27, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
