Infinite Craft is a 2024 sandbox[1] browser game developed by Neal Agarwal. In the game, the player starts with four elements—earth, wind, fire, and water—and combines them into new objects, people, or concepts.

Gameplay

In Infinite Craft, the player starts with four elements, which are fire, wind, water, and earth.[2] They can combine elements from the sidebar to unlock other new elements by placing them on top of each other;[2] for example, fire and water make steam, and plant and wizard make "druid".[3] Elements include objects, poems, fictional characters,[3] King Midas, the universe,[1] Shrek,[4] animals, God, the Big Bang, and Stephen Colbert.[2] If a player is the first person to discover an element, the game tells them it is their "First Discovery".[2] The game uses the generative AI software Together AI to create new elements.[4]

Reception

Christian Donlan of Eurogamer compared Infinite Craft to a lucid dream, explaining that an element "always [runs] away" when the player tries to figure out what elements to combine.[3]
