Name
[edit]"The name of the gene comes from Klotho or Clotho, one of the Moirae, or Fates, in Greek mythology." - Does whoever inserted this information have a reference for it (not for the meaning of the term Klotho, but for the suggestion that this is why the gene is named this)? Thanks.DianaW (talk) 14:49, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Fish for the discovery paper at PubMed; the authors usually provide explanations for naming. Cheers, --CopperKettle (talk) 17:05, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- yes, thanks, but it's not in there.DianaW (talk) 20:55, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Should mention alpha and beta klotho
[edit]FGF21 refers to beta-klotho and one ref here seems to be about alpha-klotho. - Rod57 (talk) 13:02, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
