Simon Lorenzi (born January 1, 1997)[1] is a Belgian professional rock climber known for his achievements in both sport climbing and bouldering disciplines. Lorenzi is the first climber in history to climb 3 different V17 boulder problems.[2]

Climbing career

Lorenzi has competed since 2011.[3] In 2016, he won a gold medal in the Youth A category at the IFSC Climbing World Youth Championships.[4]

Lorenzi primarily draws attention to himself for his outdoor bouldering achievements. He is the third climber to repeat Burden of Dreams (9A/V17)[5], 4th to repeat Alpahne (9A/V17),[6] and first to climb Soudain Seul (9A/V17).[7]
