The major football club of the city was A.C. Nocerina (formerly A.G. Nocerina). After the dissolve of that club, "Pol. Nocera Superiore" relocated to Nocera Inferiore from Nocera Superiore. It eventually became A.S.G. Nocerina (formerly A.G. Nocerina 1910, U.S. Nocerina). In 2015, A.S.G. Nocerina also dissolved. A.S.D. Città di Agropoli moved to the city from Campagna and merged with a minor club A.S.D. Matteo Solferino. The new club was named A.S.D. Città di Nocera 1910, which known as A.S.D. Nocerina 1910 since 2016.
