Yana Ivanova Deliradeva is a Bulgarian choral conductor, music teacher and lecturer[1] at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv.
Biography
Yana Deliradeva graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv with a specialty in Pedagogy of Music Education in 1996. She specialized in choral conducting at the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia in 1996 with prof. Nikola Lipov and prof. Georgi Robev.
In 2001 she received a Master's degree in choral conducting from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, USA, in the class of Prof. Joseph Flummerfelt. From 2000 to 2002, he worked as Assistant Conductor of the Westminster Conservatoire Choir.
In 2003 she joined The "Detska Kitka" choir[2][3] as an assistant conductor, and since 2011 she has been directing most of its concert performances. She teaches choral conducting at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv. Since 2018 he has also worked as a vocal teacher at the Children's Academy of Plovdiv's opera.
Honours
She is a two-time winner of the award named after Veneta Vicheva for the best conductor at the 23rd and 27th International Festival for Children and Youth Choirs "Dobri Voynikov" in Shumen, the award for the best conductor at the 7th International Choral Festival " Chernomorski zvuci" in Balchik, "Golden Lyre" of the Union of Bulgarian Music and Dance Artists.
Under the guidance of Yana Deliradeva in 2013 The "Detska Kitka" choir won the Silver Medal and the Special Award for the performance of a play composed after 1990, International Youth Choir Festival in Celje, Slovenia, 1st prize in the category "Children's and Youth Choirs", as well as the UBC Award for the best performance of a song by a Bulgarian composer at the VII International Choir Festival "Chernomorski Zvuci" in Balchik (2017), Gold Medal at the IX World Peace Choir Festival in Vienna, Austria (2018).
The choir's international appearances over the past two decades include a concert tour of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands (2008) and appearances at the St Petersburg International Choral Festival (2009), the Asturias Joven Youth Choral Festival, Spain (2010), the Festival of Habanera and Polyphonic Music in Torrevieja, Spain (2011), the Moscow Easter Festival (2012) and the International Youth Festival in Celje, Slovenia (2013), Attack Balkanica Festival in Maribor, Slovenia (2014), Georg Friedrich Handel International Children's Choir Competition in Halle, Germany (2014), Let The Future Sing International Youth Choir Festival in Stockholm, Sweden (2015), International Girls' Choir Festival "Trillme" in Poznan, Poland (2016), International Choir Festival "Chernomorski Zvuci" in Balchik (2017), International Peace Choir Festival in Vienna, Austria (2018).
