Annibal is a play by French playwright Pierre de Marivaux. It debuted in December 16, 1720. It represents a five-act tragedy and was shown at the Comédie-Française Theater. After the success of the famous play Oedipus Voltaire, de Marivaux resolved to make a play about the death of the Carthaginian general Hannibal at the hands of the Romans.
